Hey folks, it's been a while. Things have certainly been busy the last few months. For starters, the website has undergone MAJOR changes. Matt has done a great job getting things looking good and working properly. We will be updating the blog EVERY Sunday night (if not more) as well as the Download of the Week. Bookmark us or put us in your RSS feed. We promise to make it worth your while!
We're currently in the middle of our third recording project. It's untitled as of now, but we've got 5 songs down and are trying to finish up 1 or 2 more. We've been playing some of those tunes at our live shows....which brings me to the main event:
The Oatmeal Conspiracy is heading BACK to the POUR HOUSE MUSIC HALL on Tuesday, August 10, with our good, no GREAT friends, Triplewide and Elemental P. This is a special show because Andy Francis, infamous trombone player internationale, will be appearing with us. Andy has been part of the Oatmeal family since the mid-90's when he played with Brett and me in Flipside Phonics. Andy has been living in Taiwan for the past 5 years, making a living as an English teacher and a musician, playing in front of thousands at festivals with his groups High Tide and The Money Shot Horns.
The lineup for this show is stellar. We've got Elemental P and Triplewide from Wilson, NC. Elemental P brings a jazz/funk/rock aesthetic that should make for a great way to start the show. Triplewide follows up with their blend of blues/funk to start getting people on their feet and asses moving. We'll be rounding things out with our highest energy set to date. There's no filler in this show. We plan to rock your faces off. We'll be debuting some new tunes and hitting the oldies on all cylinders. The icing on the cake is that all three bands will end the show with a final set of collaboration and improvisation that will keep going until....
This promises to be a fantastic night. We hope you'll enjoy it with us. That's all for now, but check back with us soon!
